The SRBA will host an
Owners Only and Meet & Greet
at the

Jacksonville Virginia College Culinard Campus
5940 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32207

Monday, Sept 15,  6:30 - 9 pm

When you arrive at the campus, go to the door under the Culinard logo on left side of building face

Teri Godfrey, the Association's Administrative Assistant, is playing host to this event along with Chef Robert Henry at the Culinard Campus.  She'll be there to meet potential SRBA Members - retail baking industry owners that are looking for more people just like them.

So what can you expect?

Meet and Greet - Teri will have information on hand about our Association and can answer questions you might have about joining.  You can join the Association at that time or consider it for a future date.  She'll have new member packets and our Register available to those interested.  If you are unfamiliar with the Culinard Externship program, more information is available on that too.  We will have a drink station set up to welcome you.  If you would like to share a sample of baked goods from your shop, we'll also have paper goods available.

Owners Only - This in an opportunity for SRBA Members to gather in a room of their baking peers and talk about what is effecting their businesses.

  • Have you thought about expanding your bakery space in Duval County and have questions about the process?

  • Are you trying to find the best source for your ingredients in the NE Florida market?

  • Do you know anyone that's selling a mixer?

  • Are the cottage industry bakers in your area putting a dent in your business?

  • Were you thinking of getting a new oven but were looking for some professional input before you decide?

  • Who do you call in Jacksonville when your reach-in cooler goes out?

These are the kinds of things owners talk about and SHARE INFORMATION. You are NOT alone! You don't have to give away your business secrets but you don't have to learn everything the hard way, either.  This group was founded by small business owners who didn't mind sharing the lessons they learned in business and in baking.  Our motto is "Bakers working for Progress and Profit" and we believe helping each other is the way to achieve it.

SRBA Members can meet that evening in a small, closed door setting and discuss matters important to them. We've arranged for a segregated space at the school from 6:30 to 9 pm   If everyone enjoys the discussion, you can move the conversation to the Parking Lot or Starbucks at the conclusion of the event.  This is the most popular segment at our Workshops and Conventions for business owners.  The inspiration and excitement you get from meeting others at these events is what will keep you coming back.  It will give you ideas for thought and direction for answers.  You might even make a friend.

We hope you'll join us in Jacksonville.  Please contact Teri at the SRBA Office to RSVP for the Owners Only or Meet & Greet.
